Putharekulu is one of the most iconic traditional sweets from Andhra Pradesh, originally popularized in Atreyapuram. Known as the “Paper Sweet” due to its delicate, paper-thin rice starch layers, this sweet is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship.
Each sheet is carefully prepared using a specialized traditional process, layered with pure jaggery or fine sugar powder, and finished with premium ghee. The result is a soft, flaky, melt-in-the-mouth texture with rich sweetness and aroma.
